Hardly

Your statement - "its better than a lot of sniper game" is false IMO.

For a basic sniper game it's ok. I have played much worse than this..... But it's still a far shot from being one of the better ones I have played.

Sniper Shot line to large, targets bland, no reason to read anything but on one mission, just shoot whomever you see in the head. Leg targeting took me 15 clicks to find the right spot to hit that was the hardest part of this game. No real challenge in the game. No backdrop, no landscape.

When you gave a hint about the guy with the hat.... Well, nobody else is around, he is the only one.

This game needs a lot of work. Address the above problems and it could start shaping up to be a better game.

Well..

Good snake or Normal Snake.

I did well for my first run. I like that you can go through the walls exec. Now expand on it to make it better.

#1: Make the game at least 3 times bigger than it is now.

#2: Make levels, more obsitcals the higher the levels.

#3: Different music, or a selection of music.

#4: Display your score at the end after you "Lose". It currently just clears it.

#5: Add some detail to the snake and links of the snake, not just boxes.

Childhood

This game brought back some memories of my childhood, sitting at my grandmothers house setting these things up and knocking them down. Now that the nostalgia is over.

Good concept, Now to expand on it.

What I would like to see in this:

[1] Drawing tools, Not just free hand pen, how about a line tool that snaps every 45 degrees, Arc tool to create curves, circle, box, and possibly other shapes.

[2] A setup button, That puts them down once everything has been drawn out, like a blueprint. Possibly have this a toggle between on and off, for those whom like it the way it is now.

[3] Different start points. One or more points set to start the reaction. So you could have it go from the left to the right and up and down at the same time.

[4] Able to save your "Pattern" so others can see it.

My Review:

IMO, This was not front page material.

Just about every "Screw" joke is touched on, sexual or not. If this was going for laughs I failed to even smile once.

The art work looks rushed for the most part. As good as some of it is, it was not the quality I think should have been on the front page.

The art scores a 3 over all, not even the music can save this. To much bad bringing down the good. Some of the art work is wonderful don't get me wrong.

As for the Medal "Feeling Screwed" yes... yes I am.

Art Alone

The art and movement alone scored you the 4.

As you were not expecting to get a good review here is what I give ya.

The game itself has the ability to become something much more then what it was. As you already know it was way to short. And the questions had very little to do with anything related to anything. But once the context is changed, and the rest of the game is complete it could end up being a nice side scroller.

Good work on the mechanics of the game, art, and fluid movement.

Well....

After guessing what I had to do, as I could find no instructions. I found the game to be... boring.

When I saw the name I almost was expecting to run a bull through a china shop and break as much stuff as possible in a time limit. That was my actual thought as I clicked the link. It was not what I was expecting. That is not a bad thing... What was a bad thing are the following.

Controls.... 1 button fun...
Artwork. Over all I have seen some bad artwork in my days trolling around newgrounds, so they are not bad. but I would like to see at least some dishes break, or something more then just a sound.

Sound... Yeah music, something would have helped a little.

I am not going to say I hated the game but It could be improved on. Some improvements could be as follows.

Slow the rotation down, and have a slower increase. Add challenges to the bull to compensate for a random lunge, adding arrow keys to the mix. So if the bull bucks in one direction you need to press the other or loose a lot of grip.

Add more animation to the game, as things break as you fly through em, maybe make a dismount button to try to hit targets to increase your score.

More then 1 level.

As I know this would require almost a complete rewrite of the game. This game could be a stepping stone to something that would be "Fun". For me this was not.

In short

The game is a good concept.

It does pose a challenge, the collision is nice, but I found a few things that should be addressed to increase the playability of the game.

#1: Hot key the towers. When you have to place 4+ nodes down, you are almost sure to lose some life unless you are quick with your nodes.

#2: I found that if the beam is too close to the star (out the outer edge) it will still remove life. I don't know if this is a bug or not. But that got me a few times.

If the tower placement is not so clunky or you are given more time before each encounter starts, then this game could take off.

GGIBE

GGIBE [G]ood [G]ame [I]dea [B]ad [E]xecution.

Graphic: Very well done, it had a good feel to them. The tree's swaying, the trucks movement, even the collision of the guns going off.

Sound: N/A I did not have my headset on at the time of playing so I did not factor sound.

I read the other reviews and the challenge of not letting even one truck through added an element of urgency. But the problem of not being able to kill all the trucks, and a simple mistake of a single gun, made the game lack the ability to be played with any room for error.

IMO: the game should have a life system, if X amount of trucks get through then the game is over. As well the gun system is very "limited" this causes the "More of the same guns are better" effect.

I will give a 3 for the over all look of the game, but the feel of the game has killed it for me.

Great game

I love this game, a few changes would be nice.

More upgrades, with different weapon types. It was easy to have everything upgraded and maxed out.

Levels are too short. But fun. Creating more level's or longer levels would greatly increase the game play imo.

Controls and what not work great, I had no problem with the mouse, and how smooth the game ran.

But other then that.. MAKE MORE!

My Review of Grayscale

Grayscale is a very interesting concept that could have been a lot more then it is.

Graphics - 6
Nothing new - the colors are well Grey and shades of gray. This is what it was intended to be. Even with such a bland pallet the images are clean, and the effects, what little are in the game were nice.

Controls - 8
Arrow keys or mouse to control, with good response from the keyboard makes the controls spot on for this style of game.

Sound - 4
The initial sound track is nice to listen to, but so repetitive that I want to rip my hair out after a while, I just had to shut it off.

Game play - 2
The game gave no real challenge. As the concept was unique and fresh from my normal style of game play. It did not get even a bit challenging till around level 13.

Some of the levels are so repetitive that I played just to see if the next level was better. As said above, levels 13 to 18 was a bit of a challenge. But something I would have expected around level 4 at the latest. I will keep this game in mind and hope that the creator designs some more challenging levels in the days to come.

Replay - 0
This is a play once, and forget game. As once you have the solutions down, there is no reason to replay.

If a time limit was added and a scoring system, it would create a "Challenge" element that would give people a reason to re-play the game.
